The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 小朋友看着表示还行，能一直被吸引着看完...但老父亲好几次睡着，实在顶不住这老套的剧情和平庸的国配...
不知原著如何，明明是一个很厚重的题材，感觉有点浪费。编剧着眼于战后在寻找中回忆的穿插剪辑略乱。几个人物并不鲜明，内心的东西没有讲透。

……我为什么要看这么一部电影？情节低幼老套，逻辑混乱，主角也没啥成长性。画面精细程度甚至不像好莱坞作品。我真的觉得还不如国产的熊出没系列。
幸存者真的很“幸”吗？他们带着痛苦的回忆，甚至与噩梦同眠。但他们不幸吗，也不是，毕竟生就代表着希望，可以重新来过，可以重获幸福。关键在于如何看待过去，如何目向远方。

剧情挺烂的，只有一条线，而且没有交代爸爸失踪原因，画面设计很好
很适合陪孩子看，看得哈哈笑。很好看呀！以为失踪有阴谋或者有反转，但是却只是简简单单的儿童励志故事，怪兽也都走蠢萌可爱风。
反抗父权的期待，挺可爱的，来多点这种有色人种女孩和可爱神奇生物的故事！！！
