The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 故事并不复杂，剧情不太合理。赴汤蹈火兄弟俩接住了彼此的戏，其他人物要么扯淡，要么没扯完就挂了。

每一段的情节跟前后都没有强逻辑关系，整个剧情看下来非常割裂

把主角对金子贵过命的心态拍得太突出，超出常人对求生本能的正常反应。
苍凉荒漠中的希望和绝望。淘金者都是猎物。沉没在欲望深渊，或者迷失在迷失之中。画面挺好啊。

看了几分钟看完一部电影，还不错，但是不值得花1个多小时看
虎头蛇尾，挺好一主题，退伍军人尤其是特种兵的问题，处理不好就是一大问题。最后草草收场。
冷色调，摄影是优势，一种末日荒凉感围绕，但成本又太小了，故事格局也不大，内容量也无法支撑90分钟，所以节奏就只能拖沓，导致废戏堆叠，看一半大概知道结尾会怎么推进，弱肉强食的荒凉之地，凭善心是要吃大亏，贪婪之欲又会直接葬送生命，不深刻却也有触目惊心的时刻，伺机窥探的狼群，暗地观察的伙伴，兽性和人性在那一刻并无二致，因果轮回冥冥之中也早已有了安排。★★
拖沓。漏洞百出。
前半段的前情交代很沉稳，勾连老兵安置的现实问题，执行任务和角色行为细节拍得都还挺写实的（低调行事，效率至上，求生欲望），后半段大街上开始突突突就好莱坞化了，悬疑反转也是《美国狙击手》之类的都玩过的老路数，Mike被策反跟最后一场动作戏一样拍得粗糙又急躁，两主角在感情磁场和表演呈现上也远不如之前的《赴汤蹈火》
