James Benning’s first film called The United States of America was a 1975 trip across the country, capturing its scenery through a car windshield. This second one also crisscrosses the nation, but without a car, carving it up instead into a series of static shots of just under two minutes, one for each state, presented alphabetically, from Heron Bay, Alabama to Kelly, Wyoming. The names of the places are nondescript, but the images attached to them are anything but, immaculately composed shots of landscape, cityscape and the spaces in between. As we move from A to Z, the images coalesce into a portrait of today’s USA, tracing out its fault lines almost in passing: fenced-off facilities, a river bed running dry, factories and refineries, run-down streets and gas stations, a camp under a bridge. The past is there too, seeping up through the songs and speeches that sporadically pierce the background noise or the motifs that evoke a whole career; the clouds, trains and cabins are stand-ins for films, not just states. As always, there’s time for more abstract thoughts too: each image may stand for a state, but representativity is slippery. Which state is more cinematic than the rest?
PTA的风格依然迷人，视听剪辑还是强大，但对于这个故事还是接受无能。
虽然主角不算经典美女，但是片子临场感狠棒，拍的细腻，那就是好片！就喜欢细节充足的片，啊拉娜是不穿胸罩的，自由自在这点挺好，还有看胸那段太逗了，“我能摸摸吗？哈哈哈。空姐布兰达的妆容也颇有特色，虽然就出来了几秒钟，卖水床的黑色姑娘身材不错不错。史蒂夫，戏份虽然短，但真是太肯演了，哈。美国七十年代真是妙啊，一切皆有可能的那个七十年代，我们的八九十年代也是那样，再往后往后往后，，，就就就就啥都不可能了，处处，悄悄的港话，寂静，寂静，静墨，镜末，竞没，，，，
有几场戏还是不错的，轻描淡写地就画出了70年代美国的精神颓废。
前半段很吸引人，後半段看的太累了，兩個人一直在似有若無的曖昧，鬧脾氣好矯情啊
pta还是有两把刷子。一开始觉得不是吧这也太闷了比它想致敬的《美国风情画》差多了。然而不知道哪个节点就莫名看进去了，没有一个具体的轰鸣标记心动点但就是这么滑进去了。虽然没有一直维持下去后面还是滑出来，但真的很奇妙，得想想怎么说。男女主都有一种欠扁的可爱。虽然视角直男但把和小十岁的未成年搞暧昧的女孩视角拍得很好。最后，Asian jokes在电影里表现那个时代的样子不是问题，现场有白人观众笑出来了才是最大的问题（u got zero licence to laugh at this fuck u all ）
Dans une reconstruction minutieuse des années 70, PTA fait croiser sa petite histoire à la grande Histoire pour livrer en douceur une idylle vintage singulière mêlée de légèreté et de fluctuation. D'où le constant mouvement de ce couple, physiquement (accompagné par les travellings latéraux), professionnellement et sentimentalement, qui se cherche et se retrouve, tantôt se rapproche tantôt s'éloigne. C'est sur son perpétuel dynamisme que repose tout le charme de ce récit teinté de couleurs du passé sublimé
导演写给1970年代的情书，只不过写的烂了点；男主如果能更好看、或者至少看上去更灵光点就好了。
I don’t understand, why make this?
没太get这个故事的好，很私人的表达方式，男主角小小年纪确实把油腻劲儿演出来了，也很神奇。有些桥段令人不适，但有些镜头也有些浪漫，但是That's all。女主很好，很有魅力，西恩潘那段很惊喜。
时间是一种奢侈品，在《内莉与阿诺先生》偶然又必然相遇之时，他们在这个议题上获得了一种共识。不出意外，PTA也会认同这个观点。继《缝匠》之后，他灵动又极具掌控感的长镜头再次聚焦「时间」这种奢侈品。在《甘草披萨》这部拥有诸多「时间」节点，复古色调的青春喜剧中，贫富以年龄划分。自卑属于年轻人，因为相对扮演固定角色的老「司机」演员来说，年轻演员可支配的时间「资源」不多。但，青少年却可利用时间去塑造一个个有趣又忠诚的角色。男主「假」扮嫌疑人那场戏值得细品：上一秒还是被仰望的「老」帅哥，下一秒就成了一无所有的穷光蛋，尽管是一场有惊无险的奇遇，但摄影师借由前后构图的微妙变化提醒了青少年，那是一笔「折寿」亏本的生意。幸而在25岁生日前夜，女主对于女权主义本质有了初步又深刻的理解。BTW，她的生日不在十二月。
3d小马太可爱了，特别是独角兽，简直太好看了
容貌平平的两位主演真实可信有魅力，可以可以。
好电影，但是get不到这个感情线。姐弟恋的教科书级别作品了吧哈哈
之前的神驹是陆马都那么厉害，这次换成独角兽我都不敢想象她能做出什么事情
对于小学生来说有点幼稚，但对于工作好几年的我来说刚刚好！！！！
迷幻but its not fuckin a chick flick
虽然有《不羁夜》和《私恋失调》的影子，但远不及前者。PTA 最平庸的一部作品，看完即忘。（彩色气球像《魅影缝匠》用剩下的🎈）
嗯虽然没太理解这个走向，两个人到处喜欢这个那个吵架和好最后Alana Vinlentie，这个叫暧昧故事吗？
叙事节奏还蛮怪的，pta依旧很难get，alana演技倒是意外地还不错。
【B＋】充斥的PTA式的奇淫技巧反而遏制了真正的自由，全片一直在这种过剩与平衡中摇摆。开头结尾最好，一个达到彻底的平衡，一个完成极致的浪漫。
