Arkham, 1975: Jonathan Davis' father has disappeared. His tracks lead to Germany, to the Swabian-Franconian Forest where he was stationed after the Second World War. brutashell review - 'Filmed in black and white and primarily spoken in German, it is obvious that Die Farbe did not have a huge budget to work with. Effects are minimal and the cast is utterly unknown. I should point out that these are all good things, and work very much in the film's favour. There is no CGI to rely on, no name actors to carry it. Rather, the filmmakers do the unthinkable: they create a genuine atmosphere of unimaginable dread and unspeakable horror, using shadow, suggestion and rare splashes of that Nameless colour in a few select frames. In short, they did a damn good job. Die Farbe is subtle in its mounting horror, nurturing a dark dread deep in your bowels with every shot. All of the best and most stomach-turningly distressing films I’ve ever seen have come out of Germany: M, The Cabinet Of Dr. Caligari, The White Ribbon, and now this one. Leave it to the Germans. We know how to gross you out on the deepest psychological levels.
Lovecraft worshippers and devotees of German Expressionism alike, take heed: seek out and view this film at your earliest possible convenience. It’s a dark, noisome little gem that will squirm into your subconscious and lay its eggs in your sanity. Hey, not everyone gets the honour of being a host organism for the Elder Gods, you know.'

Grief and loss 这样的定义也许过于宽泛 但这是我对Nomadland的最直观的感受 另一个感受就是cold 电影院很冷 看完电影我又开始咳嗽 但是更加冷的是电影 雪地 荒原 狂怒的海浪 雾气缭绕的山路 灰蓝色调阴郁的摄影 同伴的评价是 i don't know it's just so morbid she's so morbid
音乐特别棒！The end of retirement: When you can’t afford to stop working
片子挺细腻的，摄影也漂亮，理解立意，但无法像海边的曼彻斯特那样感同身受。科恩嫂演技一如既往。亚马逊的仓库联想到京东的库房里也是一群打工人吧，不知道他们过得怎么样。

The other side of America: conservative(?), crude but tender. 片子节奏非常舒服，最大限度去戏剧化，人物哪个阶段在干嘛都在不经意间，但又自然而然。确实是美国传统，自由即漂泊，自由永远在路上。
像一首隽永悠长而意犹未尽的散文诗，关于旅途、也关于人生。
科恩嫂的凸嘴有一种傲气和韧劲，搭配本片茫茫无际的荒野，让人觉得这个故事是挺立的，不会倒下的。
我喜欢这种剧。不管多老，都要有一颗自由的心。
拍成纪录片才是真正有诚意，和国内一片赞美不同，影评人Richard Brody在纽约客文章里写到该片赞美了劳工阶级，却没让劳工劳工阶级真正展示自己，imdb的评分7.6也足以说明问题
不知道这个片在国内能撑多久 很久前我献血时就看过了这个片 觉得还不错 至少这是我的菜 叙事在后端有点散漫 不过音乐和感情真的是一流的

镜头语言很克制，人类最大的痛苦大概就是失去了活着的意义却必须继续活着。

巴黎终于首映了。混合职业演员和非职业演员是一件很risky的事。Einaudi的fingerprint太重了，配音煽情能少一点也许更上一个层次？片子看到一半意识到，神经系统习惯/惯性才是人类最应该抗拒的？“所谓”底层的故事，无论在哪个国家，都需要更多。但拍好真的很不易。frances mcdormand演的好，没有她这个片是另外一个样子吧。所有人都很温暖的电影，很多都描述的很委婉，留给人思考的空间很大，戏剧化降到最低，导演的基调，👍🏻。
纪录片式影像、冷静的镜头、忧伤配乐，沉郁苍凉悲伤执着的格调，这是比较鲜明的感受。以公路片“在路上”与生命之旅呼应，包含逝世与新生，孤独与温暖，困境与相助，那些路途中我们曾相遇相知相依相伴相离的灵魂，刻骨铭心，积淀为黯然柔软脆弱、不可碰触的角落，选择远方的山峰荒漠草场放逐，期待伤口的愈合。。。弗兰西斯不用说话也具有极强的表现力。
赵婷并不像旁观者去触及一个未知的领域，她更像是一个游牧在美国西部的人间烟火，去以最高度的对任何生命的共情和敬畏，将自己融在那里。她影像所呈现的真实，就像电影中任何一个人物。在体验过人间的一切，更敢于为自己而活，即使这个过程也充满着未知，充满着痛楚，也充满着随遇而安的快感。可能是今年最佳了。。

我们要飞到那遥远地方看一看 这世界依旧那么凄凉
在公路和放逐的片子里并不能算特别打动我的。本来遇到各式各样的人和相忘于江湖的淡如水还挺感动的，但最后归结到要 remember 不太能 relate。大概是被迫而不是出于选择的缘故，回到原点的 Amazon 仓库真的有点 depressing，看的时候我想要的放逐重生自由感完全没有，内心满满的是女主在房间里听到雷声时的压迫感。
