施拉德的写作是70年代classical Hollywood式的，始终有一个hook吸引着看下去，所以完全不会觉得闷。他知道什么该交代什么可以省略，每一场戏又会与前面或后面的某场戏产生呼应，整部片是一个有机的整体，很好看。但是施拉德的拍法是反类型的，这两种风格的混合形成了一套他独特的美学。
