The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 往事和现今交叉叙事，事情的原委逐步披露，镜头交织重复，编剧剪辑都很出色。
几种关系之间的力很巧妙，虽然刻意但都有效，也没刻意得过界。演技确实太稳了。
如果將妹妹改為女兒，感受上會更加虐心，但故事設定的基礎本身就缺乏合理性，所以是妹妹還是女兒就無所謂了。
