The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 它对这件事的表达不伤、不煽，也不那么戏剧，反而是贴近日常生活的平实温和。
是那种看了会感到幸福快乐的戏剧，唯一可惜的是作为一部音乐剧没有几段好听的旋律。

紧凑的编排让观众游走于焦虑，亢奋和崩溃的状态之间。

上次看CFA还是疫情前，彼时世界仍是一体，地球仍似甘德镇。在充满猜疑与撕裂的当下，人类守望相助、携手共进的故事更显珍贵
音乐同善意一样感人，相当鼓舞人心的一部作品。（必须得感谢官摄，对于种种原因而鲜有甚至没有机会去剧院的人们来说，这真的是极好的奉送。）故事源于9·11事件及其影响的其中一面，虽然远离第一恐袭现场，但在这座小镇上，在这部戏剧中，所涉及话题却格外的充裕和细致，除了展现人类之间的互助互爱，还对信任理解、信仰责任等一系列关联概念做了具体的探究与表达。这就非常值得去思考，即便没有这场人为灾难，世界是不是本就该变得更美好，人与人之间应当更为宽容与和谐，人性的真善美不该在带着血泪的惨剧发生后才觉醒。
热血沸腾，哽咽多次，无论这个世界有多么糟糕，还有音乐，真是件幸运的事。表白女机长！

在现在这个时刻，太需要这部音乐剧了。小镇人民敞开大门接纳受911事件影响的一架架飞机，女性男性同性恋、少数族裔、不同信仰的乘客一齐来到了小镇上，这一刻不再有性别与人种之分，面对突如其来的恐怖袭击，他们一同祈祷默哀，人们守望相助和惺惺相惜的状态太治愈人心了。现在世界正在发生剧变，宅生存成了普遍状态，可如果连人心都被锁进了幽闭空间，就挺绝望的。一人分饰多角的表演形式完美契合全剧的主题表达，而其中的个体故事也很有代表性，女机长唱的Me and the sky让人感动。小细节：演员在扮演汽车上的乘客时，身体会保持小幅度的晃动，非常贴近真实，好棒。不过一份分饰多角也会带来一个问题就是人物往往需要用念白的方式来解释自己的身份，剧中也有一段是人物发生争吵，但就匆匆带过了，没有正面解决，有点在意。
