The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 剧情拖沓，动作戏少得可怜，长大男不讲武德，原来醉酒男才是王者
「Do you remember why King Arthur and his knights had a round table? Because it meant that all men were equal. It's important that people born into privilege lead by example.」「I do not accept your resignation. But... I will accept a very strong cup of tea.」
如果不是杰拉德·巴特勒在封面，这就是个烂片，镜头处理的很好，但剧情太拖沓，不是无聊时间一定看不下去，还不如去看同一导演的天龙特攻队呢
居然只有不到600人评分？这片子虽然小成本制作，但其实还是可以一看的，比某些几亿票房的国产片好多了。
殖民主义、帝国主义、资本主义的矛盾与恶性竞争哪去了，这么一拍整个一战反倒成了自家的家里问题，成了小家子气的小打小闹，可谓是给历史的一记面目全非脚，这种意淫非但不助于人们理解历史，反倒会曲解和使历史感与真正的历史问题及其严肃性彻底消失，沦为资本商业化的消遣与消费产品。
剧情不吐槽了，反正Ralph叔粉看的很满足。汤姆霍兰德三次方真的迷你又可爱…大反派说surprise～！的时候内心：没有哦一开始不给看脸就知道是你了好伐！还有没想到来看喜剧还能中途给看哭了的……
真闹挺，第一次尝试看直接看睡着了，为了不浪费那一小时，过了段时间又接着给看完了🙃
耐心點會發現，其實挺有意思的；美國警察本來就是很肥很廢柴的啊~有人還想要期待什麼動作槍戰麼~~
黑人，女警察，最后的强者。这片响应了被白人警察跪杀的乔治·弗洛伊德事件。
3.5星吧 镜头美感很足 而且情节也挺有梗
高峰就是警局中的大叔追小妞，其他的卧底，话痨，反杀，诈死，复活，好像都无关紧要了
及格线，只有枪战，一群大叔带一个黑人小妞。
很娱乐的片子，虽然不想太纠结情节逻辑，但是结尾女主开急救车🚑那一幕我感觉有点多余。
如果没有熊孩子剧情线，纯恶搞或许能好看点。彩蛋算是德国影人聚会吗？八月也不像列宁吧，casting过于神奇了。还有如果说DB演的是泽莫我也信。
又是一部小场景而靠剧情取胜的电影，在一个边陲小镇的警察局，进来的几个都是凶悍的猛人，看谁活到最后。剧情的设定本是不错，但是过程总是欠了点火候，沸点不到，不然评分应该更高。
希望洛克茜没死，希望梅林也活着（好像很难）
各方势力各怀鬼胎齐聚枪溪警署，明争暗斗相互制衡，尔虞我诈勾心斗角包袱一个个逐渐抖开，内部人物关系亦渐渐明朗。感觉还是有点刻意营造气氛、端得太久了，有些拖了，再紧凑一点就好了。
