The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 好无聊的疗养院篇，唯一亮点是无惨处决下弦的那个空间特别像星际穿越里的高维空间。

在很多部影视作品中，90年代总是显得如此具有悲情色彩。真的很喜欢rent的seasons of love，观剧时明明自己之前完全不知道这部剧的内容，听到这首歌时感觉全身毛孔都打开了。

终于看到一部94届奥斯卡不垮的了。凡妮莎·哈金斯唱的一首歌还是不错的。

那种焦虑紧迫感，将自己逼死，I am running out of time. 我没有时间了，我根本没有时间聊天建立亲密关系。
本来开始对这种励志歌舞片不感兴趣，看的时候发现这时音乐剧《吉屋出租》的编剧乔纳森·拉森。片子以30岁生日的节点引发人生焦虑，但乔纳森35岁就因为主动脉瘤猝然离世了，知道这个设定也就时片名《倒数时刻》的意思，看似是喜剧歌舞，讲的是人生的困惑，而且实在生命最后的时刻。同时电影的剧本也出自乔纳森之手，记录了他创作、与恋人因人生规划不同而分手、好朋友感染艾滋病等等故事，处于对创作的追求和对生活的热爱，乔纳森后来把身边同性恋朋友、艾滋病话题写入了《吉屋出租》。片子的主题、表演都没问题，因为是展现个人创作历程，穿插了太多励志和困惑交替的表达，中段时有点看的泄气了，故事表现性没那么强，最终没能完全打动我，和《爱乐之城》比可看性还是差了些。
