The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 有段时间没看这么丧的电影了，每次看这种电影，总觉得这个世界就只剩下这些，一个孤独的人，一个悲伤的故事，有时候看美国的这些电影，就觉得他是一个孩子，把小时候的各种可能都实现了，既然结果并不是我们预料的那样美好，而我们中国人就成熟得很像一个大人，做很多事儿都会思考很多，可从某一个方面来说，又觉得这是一种前卫和保守的差别，只要当事人不觉得有对错和好坏之分，那他就只是一种生活方式而已
进可勇闯天涯，退可壁炉开趴，还是北美大平原的水土养人啊。
又细腻又克制，孤独且温柔。像看纪录片一样，真喜欢。
赵婷胜在剧本轻描淡写，用镜头进行角色研究，无论是将人物置于不同环境中，从亚马逊巨型工厂到广阔无垠的草原，还是捕捉麦克多蒙德充满表达和感染力的脸庞。
