The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 虽然大家都说这是普罗米修斯盗取天书的故事，但蛋生和袁公两人的戏份相比于狐狸精三人组少了些，出彩的地方几乎都在反派们的表演上，这就让讽刺性显得极强。

这是中国动画中的又一部里程碑似的、绝对顶级的、足以彪炳史册的伟大作品，从故事情节的编排到人物造型与性格的设计再到动画技术的运用都堪称无以伦比，它虽然没有《大闹天宫》《哪吒闹海》在国际上那么知名，但我相信不少人还是会在自己心中将其列为中国动画的第一，因为《天书奇谭》绝对有这个实力。

四个人四种阶层，其中无疑女性角色战斗力上最弱，最后却完成了反杀，这种高潮本身没有问题。
