枪杀警长，坐了二十年牢。出狱后逐渐重新走入社会，同时又寻找当时年幼的妹妹。桑德拉·布洛克饰演的女主角，表演有些用力过猛，也许对获奖抱有期待。导演的叙述很不流畅，不断地用闪回来破坏节奏。故事本身尚可，只是女主用二十年牢狱换取妹妹的幸福，何必出狱后又去打扰其生活？安静地从她生活中走开，也许更理性。
国内买来翻拍的话，会以什么做切入点呢？贩卖人口？
