During the US Civil War, Union POWs escape in a balloon and end up stranded on a South Pacific island, inhabited by giant plants and animals. In 1865, during the siege of Richmond, Virginia, the union soldiers POW Captain Harding, Neb and Herbert escape in a balloon during a storm with two confederate prisoners, Sergeant Pencroft and the journalist Spilett. The uncontrollable wind takes the balloon to a mysterious island in the South Pacific in the area of New Zealand. Captain Harding self-proclaims the leader of the group and they look for food; sooner they discover that they are stranded in an island. Further, they are attacked by a giant crab that becomes their first meal. Along the days, they build a shelter and finds that the island is inhabited by giant animals. A couple of days later, they find two castaways on the beach, the aristocratic Lady Mary Fairchild and her sexy niece Elena. Later they find a trunk with weapons and instruments like sextant and shelter with a journal of a man left alone in the island by pirates. When the pirate vessel arrives in the island, they are helped by Captain Nemo of the Nautilus, a submarine that had supposedly sunk in the coast of Mexico eight years ago. 印度的超级英雄都是武蹈派的，超现实的先天神功护体和印度特色的民族自信。
作为电影还不错，洗白就算了吧，看完就记得bgm了，顺便摘了眼镜的Jannis真的好帅啊
想起之前看过的《总督之屋》真是高下立见

虽然二战开始的历史不能改变，但电影从另一个角度出发，在英德百姓反战的背景下，有着更清晰视角的人看到了更远，看出了希特勒的野心，各种办法阻止英德签署所谓的和平协议。但站在解决问题不同的角度，张伯伦选择了签署协议，目的是给自己备战打下基础。
？这个观点洗白张伯伦是没想到的，或许慕尼黑协定为带英带来的好处就是日后小胡子念在绥靖时的带英好感没一棒子打死。这么看来也是一步棋啊，哈哈哈哈

富有想象力的动作场面，不死的印度个人英雄主义，水火的意象表达还是不错的。但很多剧情可能就是为了爽吧，算是一个抗英神剧了。
还有一个我很不理解的一点，我不明白为什么他们对于一些问题回答直接用那种奇怪的摇头方式…真的太难受了…
英国人竟然胆敢找印度人斗舞这一无知举动就奠定了本片的超现实基调。阿兰和毕姆两人竟然还有史诗角色歌，秒回《摩诃婆罗多》，片尾舞蹈可以照搬上春晚。印度人想象力一直可以的。
我觉得好好看啊！虽然剧情是狗血的那种 和仇人做了生死之交，喜欢上世仇家族的女人等等 但是印度人真的好会怎么把握观众的情绪！我好喜欢阿兰！他拦着大家让毕姆救走玛莉这里真的好感动！知道自己要死了还是义无反顾拦着士兵！好帅啊！整个电影的夸张武指夸张动作场面并没有让人出戏啊 像救桥下小男孩一段 像闯城堡救玛莉从卡车一堆猛兽出笼这个镜头 还有最后被地母之神召唤成为弓箭神的造型 全都让人惊呼“哇好帅啊”。两人兄弟情也是极其让人动容 敲地找定位这个看得我目瞪口呆 这就是好兄弟的感应吧！总的来说 从印度爽片的角度来看 这是个神作 救人、抱得美人归、拯救部落大团圆结局 让人看得舒心了 就是行！
Paul和Hugh就像是人的两面，面对危机和巨变时，总会在激进和保守之间挣扎。
7分。印度抗英神剧，出乎意料还挺有意思的啊~~~干脆神过头不讲道理，反倒没人去谈什么真实性了。上下半场这浓浓的基情，最后还搞出个女主的确没想到，但几场重头戏水火大战还挺不错的，反正只要看得HIGH就行了嘛，别的其实也无所谓了~~~
英德CP好磕，嗯，真心好磕，两人同吸一支烟这不就是在神交……此片唯一值得称道的大概就是这点吧，片末德德哭得真心漂亮。把和平使者张伯伦说得忍辱负重，帝国主义国家间瓜分弱国的行为说得道貌岸然真心会笑到，不管签没签过的条约，只要你没有力量，那就跟厕纸没差的道理印证多少次了；以及小黄终于翻身演洗头佬了、就像让TK去演戈培尔一样格格不入。

他们能做出这种事，就能做出任何事。
历史的大潮浩浩荡荡，奔流不息，细小的插曲有时候不足让其改道。
