The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 清新，艳丽，通俗，好看，但故事以及表现方式不新鲜，不值得一个奥斯卡大奖，引进的话可能有票房表现，家庭成员之间的尊重、互信的真挚情感，有感染力，尤其作为只能靠手语交流的聋哑家庭。瑜不掩瑕，就手法来讲，还没前两年的《奇迹男孩》好呢。喜欢这个女孩，简单，率真，在剧中不停地换格子衬衫，太帅气了，你们去数数有几件？另外她哥哥的女友也很棒，性感了。
一本正经的本格推理，突然跳到长跑决胜，用儿戏般的戏剧冲突来反思精英教育反思生命意义，可惜社会与现实不会是一场儿戏。《心灵奇旅》对生命意义的反思不知道高到哪里去了。

改编自《贝利叶一家》，简直是为今年奥斯卡获奖量身定制的模版电影，编剧教科书，除了看了开头就能知道结尾之外，几乎没有缺点。
整体而言剧情相对于漫画并没有做出什么改动，但这却是最完美的体现。
青春是FIRE，努力是无惧嘲笑，友情是当下的我们，爱情是大声表达，亲情是陪伴你健康快乐的成长……精英，才不是教条和绝对规则下的效率至上！
