During the US Civil War, Union POWs escape in a balloon and end up stranded on a South Pacific island, inhabited by giant plants and animals. In 1865, during the siege of Richmond, Virginia, the union soldiers POW Captain Harding, Neb and Herbert escape in a balloon during a storm with two confederate prisoners, Sergeant Pencroft and the journalist Spilett. The uncontrollable wind takes the balloon to a mysterious island in the South Pacific in the area of New Zealand. Captain Harding self-proclaims the leader of the group and they look for food; sooner they discover that they are stranded in an island. Further, they are attacked by a giant crab that becomes their first meal. Along the days, they build a shelter and finds that the island is inhabited by giant animals. A couple of days later, they find two castaways on the beach, the aristocratic Lady Mary Fairchild and her sexy niece Elena. Later they find a trunk with weapons and instruments like sextant and shelter with a journal of a man left alone in the island by pirates. When the pirate vessel arrives in the island, they are helped by Captain Nemo of the Nautilus, a submarine that had supposedly sunk in the coast of Mexico eight years ago. 心情複雜的三星：一面是觀影中時常猜中劇情的無趣，一面是被猜中的女性情意。過分規矩「正確」的人物設定和宛若心理治療一般的解碼推進顯得四平八穩，連同「誰在抑制女性情慾」的內核，整體工整有餘而野性不足，太像是一篇小論文，而不是一場淚汗淋漓的暢聊，儘管二人的可愛對話時常帶來會心一笑、卻也難以消解這層平淡——而這是否又構成了對女性的刻板印象呢？女性對於自我情慾的探索又是否只能寄望於身材姣好的、「服務性」男性呢、情慾本身為什麼不能夠成為一種更天然的驅動力呢？/一個範本：疫情期間如何拍攝一部低成本電影（不是）/一個疑問：女性對親密關係的渴望是進化本能嗎，還是社會規訓？

四颗星都给艾玛和导演以及剧本对话（部分）。艾玛这个年纪胸（躺着得时候胸好看）和身体包养得也相当不错。以及最后镜前全裸的她。多少异性恋都是她这种体验呢（作为妻子，母亲和女人），或者甚至还不如她，至少她能叫到优质鸭玩一玩，有些地区的异性恋连这种身材优质的鸭都叫不到。一个细节，男的发火咂宾馆墙的时候内线电话打进来询问她有没有危险，虽然英国有很多不让人如意的news，但这点已经算是可以窥见月圆的一角了（虽然到处都没有满月）。看，男的即便当鸭也是处于掌控地位以及比妓女们挣得多多了（一些付不起学费的女性确实是去当了应召女郎同时伴有极大风险）。过于强调男女身体的愉悦这点不喜欢这个部分。艾玛真是宝藏演员。女学生听她说完告白那个表情哈哈哈哈哈
女导演，女性题材！保守老太太喜迎第二春的故事。室内剧，单一场景，大密度对话，执行流畅、稳健，全靠表演交流，每一次会面两人的心理和生理推进有层次感。艾玛·汤普森影后预定。
从第一次被动地被爱抚到第二次主动的触摸，她终于感觉自己的心跳，一种眩晕的感觉让她窒息，感觉自己是活着的。人要如何诚实地对待自己年老的身体，如何真诚地面对不同阶段的自己，一生的课题。（我们需要高素质性工作者和告高素质客户，这证明全民教育很重要：）
