Sydney and Darrel met while working through the trenches of chaos of low budget independent filmmaking. Like most forced to produce under pressure, they grew close and began to admire and respect one another. However, their romance never quite had the opportunity to blossom and once the production was over, they went their respective ways and moved on with their lives. After 2 years of post production, when the film is celebrating its premiere, the two of them meet again. With spirits flying high and the cast and crew present to critique and admire the work they have done, Sydney and Darrel after a night of drinks hook up. In the last two years they've had their professional triumphs and failures, they've had their flings and various romances, but they've always kept each other in the back of their minds as that one that got away, the magical other. But...things are different now.

表面是讽刺喜剧，内核是现实悲剧。经历了全球疫情灾难，我们应该何去何从，政客、资本家、媒体人、学者粉墨登场、各展嘴脸，人们仍然不会思考，而是继续一场末日狂欢。还是那句话，好的喜剧内核是悲剧。
麻花语调：都得死！这是部用来测试「绝望度」的黑色喜剧大电影，你绝望吗？政客要权利，资本要利益，媒体要流量，学术要啥没啥，穷苦老百姓不知道能信谁依靠谁，韭菜死都不知道该怎么死。

就还行吧，前面展开得不错，很浅显的讽刺笑果也不错，中后段就有点温吞，再把时长缩半小时会更好，这群破人类早该灭绝了就不要再拖延这半小时了吧！

比我想象中更荒诞更严肃更直接。好笑吗，是好笑的，尤其是对美国网络梗以及最近两三年政治话题有一定了解的会get到非常非常多没直说但不隐晦的“致敬”（嘲讽）。但说实在的看着现实，远看疫情各地摆烂，近看西安现在一片混乱还各种捂嘴，看里面的剧情时反而不觉得有多迷幻了：I get it life sucks, humans sucks. 后期完全就是看人类（美国）发疯摆烂，小李子和大表姐这两位主角的心理心态变化也尤其出彩

Excellent movie! I’m glad that they put this story on the big screen. Hopefully more of those who didn’t realize it now finally did. However I doubt that. Leave alone the incorrigible ones. It’s time for the intelligent people to reconsider it seriously: are we truly smart to let those stupid guys in charge and put us into such a situation?
后真相、后疫情时代的大型讽刺景观，癫狂但又不够癫狂，有些地方的荒诞程度还不及现实，结尾的呈现加分。Leo声嘶力竭的演绎与他多年来在社交媒体上的环保主张相一致。全球变暖是缓慢的末日，就此而言大部分人也的确都麻木又渺小。
不管你是影帝影后还是流量小生流媒女王，最终归宿都是小品。
黑镜圣诞特别篇，Don’t look up的点找得毒，抬头望星空，低头刷手机，文明的两种转折点，想到前两天转史景迁说的criticism，这种针砭时弊的创作，虽然不像《忧郁症》深邃，但胜在五光十色，以真摄影棚反射现实的“摄影棚性”。演员和春晚一般刻板印象尽出，倒也亲切，小李是用呼吸传情的人，这点被用得很有层次，大表姐自带的委屈感，演出卡桑德拉式人物也正好。话说整部影片不就是“看得心累了，人类原地爆炸吧”……
真的一点都笑不出来，看完只觉得世界毁灭未尝不是一件好事
