The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances. 好看是好看，导演是猎头游戏的导演，喜欢重口味，弄的演员一脸血什么的，太恶心
挪威湖边小屋黑色幽默版《史密斯夫妇》，也有几分最近大陆市场上的《不速来客》的剧本结构。婚姻中的倦怠和厌恶，现实困顿引发的杀气只是引子，结果一层一层不断发生神展开，因果律的正反合，每一段展开都伴随着闪回的找补，推动故事变奏、转向和重构，场面略有些血腥，片尾十分讽刺，曾经想要谋杀对方求得人生逆袭的初衷，最后因为这场飞来横祸意外解决，可谓“祸福相依”。
好久没看过这么刺激和惊喜的喜剧血浆Cult了！又爽又炸，反转重重。有点像Cult版的史密斯夫妇。作为劳米粉的我，看完本片更爱她了。本片是挪威鬼才《死亡之雪》的导演与劳米拉佩斯《猎杀星期一》后第二部网飞合作的作品，质量可以说在网飞电影里可以拍前三毫无问题。
