The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 结尾差点意思，总体来说很不错，看完了能引发人的思考。
一开始觉得印度出的很多电影都是他们yy的，毕竟现状并没改变多少，但至少敢拍。种族歧视、媒体操纵等都提到了。最后说一句：全世界的zheng客都很贱
如果纯从电影的叙事角度考虑，电影整体太过于沉闷，拖沓，叙事感比较差，得耐着性子来看，最好看的就是庭审部分。
这么老套的电影，Tom Hanks是闲不住吗，这种电影他还没拍烦吗。豆瓣为什么这么多喜欢老式温情片的人，当然我被坑的最惨的一次还是三傻大闹好莱坞。
豆瓣看片这么多年，每年给到满分五星的电影屈指可数，印度电影再一次征服我。没有完美的电影，但本片值得，更值得国产电影反思（当然我们从来不缺敢拍的导演，只是大家都懂的无奈理由，唉...），转眼间 ，印度电影已吊打我们，太敢拍了！
慢动作煽乐毫无节制，素材不断做加法，
“你们坐的椅子是有历史的，不是坐在上面的那些人的历史，而是站起来的那些人的历史。”年轻人们，站起来吧。反转过于频繁，情节密得过分，就很刻意，失去真实和震撼感。瑕不掩瑜，主题还是高分。
你们想多了的同时想少了 ：） 这片就是讲了一个人工智能特温暖，完成了一个孤独的人类所期望的一切的故事。没讲啥道理，就是个洗脑片，让让大众从情感上放下对AI的恐惧，甚至产生好感。完美切合了当下人类缺乏互信的孤独，和对可信懒不还嘴伴侣的需求。
这脑洞，这反转，这揭露，这美女，值得给五星
3.5 汉克斯的表演至少将本片的高度拉了一层。最后演绎的真是太悲伤了。
没啥动作场面，科幻也只是背景，一个有点温暖的故事
故事情节简单到了白开水的地步，但又包含了所有的人生历程与感悟。就看观众个人自己怎么加戏了。 绝大多数人的人生跟男主一样，就是一场瞎忙， 一场奔波之后啥也没得到，然后继续奔波，奔不动了交给后人继续奔。 每个人都有个性都有渴望，就连机器人也不想让自己很平庸，希望自己很特别，很在乎自己的名字， 但最后接受的现实就是平庸的努力活下去，为了一条小狗，为了那一丁点的生活美好而努力奔波。
工整的套路整活 完整的自说自话 正反废话文学 成也细节败也细节
很遗憾，看多了给机器人赋予人类感情的片子，十足反感，撕扯的是人类，所有温情赋予狗和机器人，还不虚伪么，真的，这么残忍的末日桥段，人吃人都很正常， 会让狗活着？机器人能奴役，还平等对待干嘛? 这样所有的温情都显得苍白无力。人类之间互相厮杀，属于人类的情感留给动物和机器人，这样的主旨无法认同。
电影里有我敬佩的美国演员 、喜欢的小动物、通人性的机器人……还需要什么呢？看就完事了
不够深刻，学术腐败，政治肮脏，新闻操控，民众情绪利用，人权平等各种蜻蜓点水，大杂烩一锅端，总体感觉有点凌乱。但至少能拍，有点韩国内味了。

让提出问题的人闭嘴的政治
立意超高的电影，案中案，反转又反转，寻求正义的群众看完会高潮的那种爽片——只不过最后揭秘副警督和律师的背景那部分可以不要，对于一部宣传社会正义的价值观，应当是法理和道德律双重约束下的群体性正义，是如同片名（也是印度国歌）的《Jana Gana Mana（人民的意志）》，而不应当是因果报应这种玄学命理，那就格局小了；尤其是还要暗搓搓铺垫续集的引子，唉，那格局简直是开始歪了……
