还有片中的打光也很有深意，开始一个在光明中一个在阴影里，后来逐渐发生转换，恰好对应两人的关系。
通过改编金大中与影子军师严昌禄的事迹，来阐述目的与手段的关系这一点很取巧。剧情对政治的处理多有理想化，但瑕不掩瑜，人物形象饱满，节奏流畅，加上一票演技派，观感十足，可以说是《南山的部长们》之后韩国最好的政治片
