The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 还行吧，有点像舞台剧，在狭小空间里通过表演来带动故事的推进反转，逻辑上没那么严谨，惊喜还称不上

为什么我现在看这种电影，会有这样一种感觉：除了主角，其他人都有点不太聪明，所以主角一股自作聪明的样子......

镜头足够精致 一切都发生在这间成衣屋 the cutter说得对 对一切事情都要追求完美 不愿追求完美就无法取得成功 当然也要明白 完美并不存在 哈哈哈哈😂
非常棒，会让人看完在播卡司的时候回味。除了开头和结尾，cutter走向裁缝店和离开加起来10s左右的两场，没有外景，全部是内景。不算打手6个人物。故事紧凑，揭露Mable身份后，cutter的独白更精彩。预算从来不是阻止好作品诞生的障碍。
终于改回套装这个名字了，之前莫名其妙的叫誓不低头都找不到了。。看前一个多小时还以为是普通的黑色电影，看如何用话术和表演互相智斗博弈最后大反转。结果编剧竟然还能在此基础上创新，把反转搞得像圆白菜一样，来了个层层剥离，直接把戏外观众骗了个团团转，直到最后不到十分钟的时候才彻底明白了所有的事情。逻辑还没有因为反转搞事情而没失去黑色电影推敲的严肃性，这个好，这个巧妙，可以加一星
能扛得住叔的巴掌或者普通一拳的猛男真的不多，第一部的优点在这部续集被发扬光大了，就是打打打，非常解气解压，爽就完了
一间小裁缝店，一个晚上，挺舞台剧的感觉，全靠演员飙演技。（最后大花臂什么的，完全没有感受到力量啊哈哈哈
这里絮絮叨叨就不招人烦，大概因为这里的絮叨都是有作用的。而某些片里的絮叨就是为了拖戏。
好喜欢这种空间有限的全靠剧情不断反转的小成本戏。上次看到同类型的还是很多年前的《惊世狂花》。
Gangsman/最后十几分钟的强行反转和诈尸真的大可不必，毁了之前的精巧。
最后恶狗还没死这点就有点违和，被崩了那么多枪还活着，流了一夜血还有战斗力，比比看里奇两枪就死了。

疫情将电影成本控制的还是不错的，但也没有好到让人叫绝，顶多是在今年平庸的一大片电影中出彩了些罢了。
