法国人喜欢揭露警界的黑暗，此部亦是，只是稍显另类。影片开始对男主角这个坏警察麻烦事缠身的困境表达得精采：前去参加母亲葬礼，得知上级派人查他们违纪，又偏偏开车撞死人。为掩盖罪行又各种活动，影片显得焦灼感十足，故事也由此展开。后面的反转情节也有意思，只是紧张焦灼感有些松懈。
有一个点比较奇怪：既然能看到海边监控，还看不出来是女主老公杀的凯特吗？还能认成那个警察？
