The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 小少爷越看越烦，作弊就算了还当二五仔卖队友，说成是为了达子好😓，还真是非常熟悉的家长式说教跟道德绑架那味啊，抱头痛哭真的像神经病多一点。一点都不遵守游戏规则，既然每次都要半路恍然大悟一般良心发现地发表善良的圣母演说那一开始不要加入不就好了。理查德那句话说的挺对“我还没有傲慢到想改变别人的生存方式”真的很无语。
出了亚洲严重水土不服，对手也没啥意思一个人。算了，麻将兔怪可爱的，打个四星欺诈你们来看！

无聊得我在影院如坐针毡。黑泽90%的时间都看起来像在假笑，脸上用力过度的褶子能夹死5个我。
是这个系列的平均线水准。话说每次反转好像都是达子主动做局➕把ボクちゃん当傻子骗，然而每次我还是猜不到。。
这片子多线玩得比较失误的地方就是多线重复剧情太多了，不是加上新的信息量，而是把故事再来讲一遍，拉长了很多不必要的时间，剧情上和前几作几乎是我抄我自己，但是我最喜欢胡闹剧加了一星
前面的多视角又过于啰嗦
全程猜到诡计，最终反转缺乏对观众的尊重，也就浮夸的表演可以一乐了吧～
求你们再出一季剧吧，隔一两年才等来一部剧场版真的不过瘾啊！
彩蛋1是警贼合作亦或杀向欺诈师社团东京本部，彩蛋2是2.5次元音乐剧《鸟兽戏画》再次诈骗成功。
這集一般，其實看多了該系列就能猜到大部分的情節都是騙局，尤其是警察最可能是小貓咪假扮的，所以最後真相揭露時沒太有衝擊力。but我還是很喜歡該系列，古澤良太YYDS。生賴勝久的那個篇章鋪墊了很久了，希望更加精彩一些
不知道要怎样打分。我总是希望你们能在更好的作品里展现你们是如此适合对戏。但是大环境就注定了连你们自己单独都很难遇到好的剧本和导演。但还是会许愿，也许会有一天，你们会在另一个奇迹里相遇。
赤星：一天不被达子骗，难受一天。
东出昌大神烦，鲁邦的女婿也hold不大住。意外的是成田优的演技亦正亦邪。
本系列故事无论中途是何走向，都始于游戏，终于欢乐反转。
但是真的很甜
