后三部与前三部的不同，除了体现在技术进步带来的视听体验提升，很重要的一点，是女性角色在电影中功能的转变。从2、3部中不作不死、遇事尖叫的女花瓶，变成与男主一起奔跑、揍恐龙、砍蝗虫的力量象征，而且在落单面对恐龙时，也表现出了足够的智慧与勇气，不得不说是时代的进步。
