When he discovers that designer handbags are so desirable that some women will pay 100 pounds a month just to rent one, he's determined to have their heads examined to find out why.

Alex Riley is on the trail of the global food and drink giants. What's so special about them? How have they penetrated our brains so we recognise them like members of our own families? Alex travels the globe to find where they've come from and how they make us keep on buying them.
太冗長了，一環扣一環但環環都說太透…畫面固然美，音樂固然扣人心弦，故事講到最後已經無聊了…
没看完旧版…太长了吧，转折太慢了吧，装服真的很不错，也有很多伏笔和暗示，演技感觉也没完全发挥…
讨厌的点可太多了，剧作本末倒置，Bradly Cooper也垃圾，陀螺回家继续养小怪物吧。
我觉得斯坦就是失败版的哪吒，物理上的弑父（神婆的酒鬼老公某种意义上也是他的父亲）并没有斩断其精神上与父权的联系，社会反而加重了他的“恋父情结”，磨毁了他内心的纯真，从他歧视并谋杀没有男子气概的亲生父亲、送毒酒毒死灵魂父亲且没有听他的劝告开始，他注定是重蹈覆辙的下场，结尾形成一种精妙绝伦的轮回。无法不想到《巴里·林登》，男人真的是被男权毒害了还不自知，被人拐了还帮人数钱。库珀虽然红脖化严重然而我依然可以（为了他的裸体吧），布兰切特表演最佳，什么叫气质美人啊.jpg
故事很好，可惜表演有点中庸和一般，平铺直叙吧，凯特仍然是抢风头的那一个。
剧情给到美恐一集就可以完事，但因为有这么多大牌在，必须每个人的戏份都拉长给足再加上恶趣味美学搞氛围，齁得慌。
挺喜欢马戏团的部分，有一种绵密的质感。两年后就变成狗血地摊文学了（精神分析？不过是“角色背景”这种最廉价的东西罢了)！不过还是很喜欢一些声音设计，比如手表的嘀嗒声，玻璃杯的嗡嗡作响等等。
斯坦顿是一个穷困潦倒的男人，误打误撞之中来到了流动马戏团，在这里，他凭借着自己的聪明才智为自己某得了一份差事——为塔罗牌占卜师赞娜和她的情人皮特工作。从这两个人身上，斯坦顿学会了如何依靠巧舌如簧和敏锐观察来施展观众们眼中的“魔法”。
7.0 超长第一幕，陀螺的黑暗风格得以充分展现，剧情简单，节奏慢，头重脚轻，选角失败（男主）。童年创伤，怪人故事。

这一版比起47年原版简直就是金玉其外，哪怕画面再精致。片长这么长配角依然这么单薄，想想原版Zeena和Pete等配角可都是很鲜活。陀螺也不忘自己的恶趣味，同时还老生常谈各种issue,没必要真的没必要。大魔王的角色也是一出场及全程就各种霸气外露，还是喜欢原版的处理。
所以他是一个精神病人，有意在我国上映吗？那个泡着孩子的酒罐子，啧啧，陀螺恶趣味啊
结局确定完了吗？？魔兔的呢？？她俩带着钱远走高飞的画面呢？？
结局真是讽刺啊。。兜兜转转回到原点了
I like how fate has bounded the characters together. The final act is gripping to watch. The shots in the film look beautiful, but Mr. del Toro has failed to impress me with his yet again thinnly written characters.
痴迷行骗到走火入魔，失了挚爱也枉了余生。前一半是boring freak show，后一半渐入佳境。
7.5/老版演员都不熟悉，看得昏昏沉沉，但本片总体来说算是一部不错的翻拍、改编，比相近题材的《算牌人》好看。可能是台词写得太直白了，让这个“行骗”的故事没有满足观者的好奇心，所以评价很一般。最后的反转很一般，关键一个小时才出场的布兰切特这位最后的赢家戏份太少了，一切焦点都落在库柏这个大男主上，一点也不“黑色”。
没看过原版 但黑白版效果拔群 演员阵容也太惊人了 光影运用也是精妙 很多抽烟点燃火柴的光源 人物初登场头顶灯 面部全黑的打光 极为舒适 还有摊牌阶段的眼部打光 镜头方面 最开始Lilith和Stan室内那场戏 镜头语言超级细腻 Lilith的过肩镜头 显得Lilith更渺小 问到法官时 权力调转 Stan变成了过肩 影片开场就是以人还是野兽这个疑问开始 当人类想充当上帝 改变他人命运时 却忘记自己也在那宿命之中 当然源起于欲望 Stan的“Never”就像是想避免一切跟父亲的联系 然而他却没有逃脱自己的宿命【PCC - Oscar Nominees】
收尾相当棒，陀螺拍这种暗黑风格真的拿捏超好。
男主跟Ralph Fiennes都撞脸的程度了 分两段看的 说实话前面太拖沓了 剧情就像爱伦坡的小说
