The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 前 2/3 叙事比较慢，后来突然加速。里面记忆最深刻的就是那个小蓝太可爱了。从动画来说还是完成的不错。
“他们是英雄，但也是会出错的。”往大了讲，这就是认知闭环，人永远不可能认清这个世界，因为对于无尽的真理而言生命只有一瞬间。
类似驯龙高手，但不及驯龙高手。Butcher的声音辨识度很高啊！
保守老套又无趣，一切情节闭眼预料的前提下还存在大量无法自洽的逻辑断链，长度足足两小时的叙事仍然缺乏必要铺垫充满走流程既视感。网飞抓取热门元素的经典招数不再有效，带子狼+女孩+萌宠+好心野兽这些曾经百搭的配方如今除了Karl Urban的配音全都味同嚼蜡，就连主角人设也是沿袭演员最火的影视作品形象加以略微改造。片中许多可以加深主题的情节关键，尤其事关历史本同虚构，战争只是人类权力的搬演这层醒悟，全部轻描淡写地带过，主旨升华沦为喊空话，最后成品又是一部给小孩看都不会抬下眼皮的幼稚儿童片。
还不错吧，看了开头就大体猜到了结尾，但中间过程还算是精彩的啦。很适合练习听力的一部剧，整体语速比较慢
如果不去看剧情的话，还是很有趣的片子。。。但是如果考虑到剧情的话，就很无语的片子
宫泽贤治的银河，《重庆森林》里的加州，有些理想和目的地似乎从未出发。
4.5/10。我已经很久没看过这么无剧情无笑点无奇观的动画电影了，屠龙勇士爱上龙，篡改历史的统治者。蓝色小怪物就是标准美式动画里的卖萌道具。
开头拿根牙签把海兽秒杀了有点不能接受。故事还可以再长一点，多拍一些海兽的生活，压缩得有点厉害。
可惜的是海兽的世界观没有完全打开，尤其是在海兽岛上的时候，结尾好不容易走到了历史怀疑与战争本源上，但又合家欢地止步于此 3.5

色彩饱和度超级舒服，巨物恐惧也恰到好处，除了主海兽长的像男性生殖器以外没有什么缺点。剧情嘛，反正是给小朋友看的。（网飞出品了一部应该在影院看的电影。
十分“恶政隐”了哇哇。故事毫无意外，作画也很敷衍——也就是没钱。低配迪士尼吧。
你变普通了，这句话杀伤力太大了.虽然那只是记忆中美化的青春.
可能因为先看了豆瓣点评再去看的，所以感觉比7分是要高的，完成度不错，故事情节再最后的小女孩演讲前其实也算饱满，就是最后面想不到怎么收场又用一场演讲来结束剧情的确有点审美疲劳了。

当CG水平不再成为限制动画发展的短板后，电影里的底层逻辑、设定和剧情便是了。华丽的画面之下是经不住推敲的因果关联，牙签一样的铁矛可以轻易刺死一头巨兽，几十年的家国血仇能简单被解除，资深猎人连条巴掌大的海鱼都抓不住，战船上允许不止一个女人登上甲板，no offence…诸如此类大小无数问题，把本片的水平拉低，虽想表达的很清楚，但瑕已掩瑜。可惜了，比《魔法满屋》的问题还可惜，真是可惜了这技术。
不算很惊艳，但倒也不拉胯。中规中矩、老少咸宜的动画长片。比较遗憾的，既然开创了海兽宇宙，为什么不多安排几个海兽出场呢？雅格船长不是有张海图么。里面标记着各种海兽，但实际上只有大紫螃蟹露面了。结尾有些仓促。多少有点虎头蛇尾。还有一些看似苦心铺垫的细节，到最后并无卵用。可能有续集吧。
爱的故事，方式，细节都模糊了，故事发生的地点也不存在了，一部分的自己停留在了某个时刻，不管怎样试图记录又试图抹去，都注定要逝去了。可是爱的感觉却印刻在身体里。看着廉价酒店天花板上人造的银河，想着宫泽贤治，告诉对方“你的身体里充满了尚未成佛的词语”，有过这一爱的时刻的人永远都无法忘记吧。
