The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 很平淡，东木老爷子太老了，处处透露着他的虚弱。演电影确实力不从心了。整个电影算得上四平八稳，各种手法也都是经典套路，不亮眼倒也不算差。

牛仔大爷太老了，他刚一出场我都不相信自己的眼睛，全片充满了烈士暮年的感觉，也象征着牛仔精神的没落。

暮年英雄，壮心不已。九十岁高龄的东木老爷子还自导自演西部片，这本身就是一件很酷的事情，他永远都是那个最帅的牛仔。片子属于比较温情的，有点<老爷车>的意思，都是老爷子让男孩子得到成长，教会他们一些道理。边境的风景真的好美，感觉每一帧都可以用来做壁纸。
