The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 在贫困山村里人们通常借助铁道桥走路，悲剧发生在一次在父亲驾驶的火车经过时，姐姐为了救弟弟坠湖丧生。父亲无法原谅自己而变得冷漠而孤僻，弟弟则在化为鬼魂的姐姐陪伴下长大成人。为了避免类似悲剧，弟弟以一己之力推动各方力量，在家乡建起了一个临时站台，让村民得到实惠，让姐姐得以宽慰，也让父亲得到了解脱。
精致的画面，古怪的主角，可爱的小猫，组成了一部《路易斯·韦恩的猫奴人生》。私心来讲还是比较喜欢的，当然电影中的小猫对此功不可没，没想到还有喵配英字出现，实在很惊喜。头号猫奴韦恩不仅爱画猫，还改变了人们对于猫作为宠物的看法。在韦恩成名之前，他的朋友问他养猫是不是为了捉老鼠，韦恩说是为了当宠物。朋友表示很担心他，韦恩不解，朋友解释道：因为你拿猫作宠物啊！——正在抱着猫观看此片的我膝盖一痛，并感到吾等养猫人都应感谢这位前辈。
穷困山村有志青年凭借数学天份走出山村的故事。本片距离「优秀」的几处不足：少年过于轻易取得的胜利，虽然扣题并突出了戏剧性，但消减了可信度并降低了感染力；剧本对个人心结、家庭悲剧和村民困境等几条线索的排布主次不清；韩影惯常的表演方式对于励志传记片来说未免过于浮夸和廉价。

很努力展现艺术家眼中的世界，提供了很多风格化的场景和构图。但作为创作重点并放入片名的'Electrical'，仍然是靠旁白在讲，而且也没讲好。

路易斯·韦恩的悲情人生。癫狂又散乱的剧情像极了韦恩所经历的人生，生活虽然一团糟，但作品永垂不朽，堪称猫咪们的福报。

不可否认的演技，可我还是不知道这种人生需要被写实记忆的必要。那个年代的女人就要这样吗？Emily都可以做家庭女教师养活自己，这五个姐妹就这么混着终身未嫁……

真实事件其实值得拍的，但编剧导演拍的比较一般，让故事简单程式化，命题作文的痕迹很重，不走心。演员演的也一般
