The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 一些关于03年非典的戏份当下看起来十分应景。
恐怕是太着力于武打动作，剧情本故事可以更深些，这过于直白的主线味道太淡。

从原本彼此独立又有联系的剧集变成完整的长叙事电影，破坏掉了大开大阖开门见山的气势、快意恩仇的潇洒江湖气，使叙事变得冗长，相对单薄的英雄气短、儿女情长、胸有韬略等等被前人撰写得不知更高明多少倍的内核，像是被一口气翻过来倒过去地来回喘。
男主長相是好濃好正宗的華僑味兒，但是很帥也

令人窒息的不沟通，所有人都觉得我在为了你努力，但是就是憋着不告诉对方，非常传统
打戏真的天花板，剧情薄弱了，亮点全在打戏，但是太密集也有点审美疲劳。
很好看啊，人物设定挺不错的，就是打戏多限制了发挥，所以说话都比较直白。

生活流的情感自動化裝置難道就不是自動化裝置嗎？
在美国野蛮生长后又得在中华文化圈受礼教的束缚。虽然但是，换汤不换药。
要是能改掉打架时瞎逼逼的坏毛病，评分会更高。这片子真的偏科的让人心疼，还好电影从来不讲究木桶效应，将动作设计做到极致，照样有人买单。
处女作不错看，但剧本的细节还是太戏剧化了，全家都不好好说话，就连吵架都吵不起来，无力感充斥着所有本该带动情绪的地方。演员都不错，林嘉欣很好，妹妹好可爱。
极为精彩的打斗场面，但故事于表面，像是上世界香港武侠片，类似张彻的高产武侠故事
