Whenever I see La Paura I think of it as a companion piece to Eyes Wide Shut, or maybe it is the other way around. Adultery makes both films tick but in different ways. I think Phillip French was right on the money when he pointed out a Wizard of Oz thing in Kubrick's last work. Like Dorothy, Tom and Nicole go through fantasies and nightmares and at the end Dorothy's reassuring childish motto "there's no place like home" is ironically updated to the adult circumstantial adage "there's no sex like marital sex". Kubrick's take is intellectual, he never leaves the world of ideas to touch the ground. He taunts the audience first with an erotic movie and then with a thriller and refuses to deliver either of them. He was married to his third wife for 40 years, until he died. Rossellini was still married to Ingrid Bergman when he directed La Paura; they had been adulterous lovers and their infidelity widely criticized La Paura is a tale, a noirish one. The noir intrigue is solved and the tale has a happy ending. The city is noir; the country is tale, the territory where childhood is possible. The transition is operated in the most regular way: by car, a long-held shot taken from the front of the car as it rides into the road, as if we were entering a different dimension. Irene (Bergman) starts the movie: we just see a dark city landscape but her voice-over narration tells us of her angst and informs us that the story is a flashback, hers. Bergman's been cheating on her husband. At first guilt is just psychological torture but soon expands into economic blackmail and then grows into something else. From beginning to end the movie focuses on what Bergman feels, every other character is there to make her feel something. Only when the director gives away the plot before the main character can find out does he want us to feel something Bergman still can't. When she finds out, we have already experienced the warped mechanics of the situation and we may focus once again on the emotional impact it has on Bergman's Irene. In La Paura treasons are not imagined but real, nightmares are deliberate and the couple's venom suppurates in bitter ways. Needless to say, Ingrid has another of her rough rides in the movies but Rossellini doesn't dare put her away as he did in Europa 51, nor does he abandon her to the inscrutable impassivity of nature (Stromboli). His gift is less transcendent and fragile than the conclusion of Viaggio in Italia. He just gives his wife as much of a fairy tale ending as a real woman can have, a human landscape where she can finally feel at home. Back to the country, a half lit interior scene where shadows suggest the comfort of sleep. After all, it's the "fairy godmother" who speaks the last words in the movie.
前面都是德帕尔玛玩剩下的，从扒脑壳虐杀开始，快睡着的我总算打起精神来了——动作戏笑死。信条这么拍多好看！
是那种新瓶装旧酒式的恐怖片，希区柯克的悬疑、德帕尔玛的冷冽、阿基多的浓艳被移植到如今好莱坞的新语境中，再加上技巧性的360度旋转与俯视镜头，运动被赋予了全知视角，感官的释放完全是无引领的迷宫式冲撞。但剧本么……
后面警局真精彩，诡异的行动模式，故事简单粗暴
我觉得至少7分吧，故事很精彩啊，可能因为温子仁导演大家期待值比较高，也因为大部分人可能看的是爱奇艺删减版。前半集的确稍显温吞也不够恐怖，但gabriel身份揭开的瞬间还是看的我虎躯一震，可惜的是最高能的点出现早了点。最后一直蹲一手小反转结果就结束了…
挺有意思的 连体婴可以被封印 反关节 梦境里杀人 前后联系的不错。 战斗力稍微有点爆表 大杀警局是真的不平衡。 温子仁的恐怖片 还是值得一看。
后半段想象力挺好的，但是就整体套路到3000个好莱坞的级别
女主家哪有邻居？女主肚子被枪轰了一个洞为什么没事人一样？女主的头盖骨为什么能自动闭合？——好吧除了一些硬伤，电影观感还是很好的，情节推动什么的也很抓人。
影片开始时有一行提醒是孩子需在家长陪同下观看，但是看到这组字我就顿觉不妙，一查果然删减了四分半，而这四分半中的其中两分多钟，简直就是全剧高潮。有这两分钟，四星。没有，三星。抑制不住情绪在看守室的情感爆发，那一段的戏剧张力和刺激就反复《双瞳》被删减的大楼庙里的杀戮一样。
2021年度亲情大戏，girls help girls forever！看样子是要拍第二部lol，片名（英文翻译）其实就点题了，片头给了很多线索，基本上恐怖片和悬疑推理片看得多的影迷保证开头10分钟只能能把剧情给猜出个70%，看到1/3能猜出全部。当个邪典小故事看就行了，剧情本身没太多的新意，基本是新瓶装旧酒，好在拍的不错。有的设计真的很有90年代香港风格，例如东方三侠和原振侠与卫斯理。男警是亚裔混血吧，长得不错，怎么不让他去演尚气哈哈哈哈哈哈（可惜就是长得东南亚了，给四星，毕竟要给温子仁面子，算是恐怖导演里面能保持品质的
想给较差，但是那个特技演员的表现挺亮眼，就多给一星吧。故事真的不行，拍得也一般。
前面也就是温子仁拿手的氛围塑造，音效和各种异动，如果习惯了他的风格还是并不觉得恐怖。不过后面谜题的释出还是很不温子仁的，加百列这种一体双生的形象真的是属于身体上能给出的恐怖形象。警局的大屠杀我直喊卧槽，太血腥，太cult了。总体来说还是非常好的商业片，看得过瘾。8/10
会联想到鬼伎回忆录（2020-03-22 想看）
3星半。虽然低于预期，但成片完成度非常高，故事创意也很有意思，仍然是在类型片水准之上的娱乐片。温子仁的惊悚恐怖片依然值得信赖。
温导拍这样的电影，实属不该，如果他不是温导的作品我应该会给3星，因为期望太大，失望越大

仿佛从《黑客帝国》穿越到《双瞳》的一个恐怖动作片，有人说是冰雪奇缘也没毛病。女性角色很多，也很给力，有些场面确实很震撼，但有时候又觉得很滑稽。从评论里看到了不下十部电影被提及，也说明本片是个大杂烩，我来总结一下这片，用阴风阵阵的滤镜拍摄了一个关于冰雪姐妹花的黑客帝国式的动作片最后用了双瞳的结局。
加百列从艾米丽后脑勺长出来的那一刻，血压直接飙升了。。。
從頭到尾一氣呵成
这部电影身体力行地告诉各位，不用讲鬼的惊悚片照样可以精彩。后半段的戏温子仁真的是把自己的风格最大化，调度和场景精彩得令人惊呼。而且，他设计了一个新的恐怖形象。（虽然我觉得有点抄《鬼伎回忆录》）。我非常欣赏他的镜头把控能力，多机位的切换和一些令人惊奇的俯拍。加上他惯常的故事诡计——危险其实就在咫尺，你别一开始就忽略了，你没注意到的话，结局给你揭示吧！这一点上，温子仁和诺兰实在是有点相近，用影像的前后闭环让故事很完整精彩。只不过一个是恐怖片领域，一个是科幻片领域。
封闭空间的运镜好强！恐怖程度一般，剧本也有点敷衍了事，但是整体精彩刺激！最后大结局也太东方了吧！
