The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 有時候你想平靜，路人未必給你平靜，危險處處存在，不訓練兒子應該是特錯大錯，弱肉強食的世界，你弱就淘汰。
硬核，纯正，西部片该有的元素他都有了，不需要女性角色，更不需要黑人演员，就是这么纯粹，故事简单，场面火爆，摄影也是美到爆。
踩点不多派几个人，最后也没发挥出人数优势，黑吃黑的结局注定没有善终的人。。

正统西部片。粗粝，简单，暴力，快速。不磨磨叽叽，谈不拢就开干。就是高潮战斗戏有点短，刚感觉开始爽干了，就灭完了。

好多影迷说是传统硬核西部片，但这明明是老无所依式的西部哀歌。当然，导演希望比利小子后继有人，而传统西部片能再现辉煌。

满满的西部风情，男主造型非常独特，很生活化，人物大都是脏兮兮的，拍得比较写实，没有一般西部片那种耍帅耍酷，但故事还是比较老套。
人類很矛盾又遲鈍；到父親過世後你才曉得：他的嚴厲是對你的愛。
西部片的还魂，非常简单老派的故事，但就是男主这种老糙汉形象丰满了人物。
