The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 七冠的布雷迪是传奇，华纳是个传说。这部电影像是把前些年科特华纳的纪录片翻拍了一遍，前面铺垫很多，后边节奏有点太快了，像是要赶着把故事讲完。七分是比较公允的分数，但是作为一名盼了这部电影十几年的老球迷，我还是选择打高一点。
也许橄榄球场上的球员真没什么好用镜头来表现的。大部分聚焦了主角的生活线。
感觉是给盲人老大爷洗白的第二部。结尾倒是留下悬念，不知道会不会有第三部。
【6.0】孱弱的文本,优秀的视听语言,氛围与1一脉相承。亮点：用声效的夸张处理展现老兵的敏锐听觉.比如脚踩下水盖和风铃声触发老兵的反应.尤其是水纹传到手上的镜头,摄影和音效都很妙/1用关灯,2用烟雾弹制造平等对抗环境/用开灯,雾散时老兵若隐若现的身形+变焦营造惊悚感/手指插眼,铁锨砸烂脸,小女孩砍手臂的镜头满足了血浆片需求/胶水封嘴+用刀划开嘴/老兵点火和飞刀的镜头。硬伤：小孩心脏不能移植给成年人…/一开始要以父亲身份抓女孩走,杀老兵,那又放水又拉电缆是干嘛?/小女孩既然这么爱老兵,怎么会轻信陌生人?/狗的倒戈做了很多铺垫,但还是很牵强.老兵不杀它又放走它,主人丢下它,它就带老兵回了窝,被开了一枪,后来就咬了反派?编剧是按人写的./插眼不一定毙命,老兵不下死手是编剧为了制造女孩杀亲父的镜头.
美国底层奋斗成功，宗教信仰，亲情爱情家庭，所有的美国梦元素都凑齐了。也的确成功的讲述了一个励志，温情的故事，所以同样是真实历史人物传记，无论是讲述教练主视角的《孤儿橄榄球队》还是以运动员为主的本片都在叙事上吊打《国王理查德》，真正的好运动题材电影该这么拍！

老头体衰，但运气不错。本片愧对“屏住呼吸”这个主题。
和第一集調子不大一樣，不過也是出效果，這也是最強老爺系列了。

Kurt Warner的生涯真的有那么一种传奇的色彩，从落选到进入联盟到拿到MVP和Super Bowl。这些看起来本不该一起发生，但他真的做到了。

除了老头儿接着瞎和惨，没有继承第一部什么亮点东西。
故事上就是在反转，其他没别的，就是瞎眼老爹虐他人

2、一老一少从头到尾都快死了也就是不报警，就自己硬扛，国外真恐怖，连个治安巡逻的都没有，我们这边有人喝醉酒闹事保安马上过来劝架😂
拍摄制作离得前作那么久也就算了，还直接塑造成硬核动作片。动作设计场景有点东西，但故事内核呕。
终于找到资源了，没有第一部好，这是个新故事了，只不过还是那个老头，老头领养了女儿，开头那个女的还以为很牛逼，结果就这么突然的被锤子砸死了。后面妈妈要女儿的心，女儿砍断死掉老妈的手，男二自己养的狗子咬自己，女儿为救老头捅死亲身父亲，这部各种悲催元素，老头子怎么一直有麻烦啊，第一部被贼偷去一百万，这部领养的是贩毒夫妇的女儿人家找上门，我没想到第二部的故事居然没延续第一部，跟第一部逃掉的女主完全没有关系，最后好像在暗示老头子还是没死，难道还准备第三部？
