The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 此類影視劇是生活里的甜點、冰激凌、水果糖和西瓜等，不是天天都能吃的東西，可時不時就會想吃，時不時身體就需要吃。片頭簡直是古都京都的推介旅遊片，片尾的春日櫻花野餐會更是一種生活方式的宣講，至於性向、家庭底色和生活滋味的內在，倒是退居其次了。片尾的賞櫻段落，可以和新近愛情甜劇《心跳漏一拍》對照來看，愛是一種浪漫的宣言，同時愛也是一種陪伴的生活態度。再次感慨一下，日本演員的可塑性好強，而且影視題材的多樣性發展對演員來說也是一種幸運。
爱可以很私人，但爱也不由人。接受但不被认可，幸好都没有想过放弃的两个人。可，爱，不就是要在一起吃好多顿饭吗，陪你到处吃街灯晚餐亦欢喜。
对于一个没有宗教信仰的人，这个片子让我知道了宗教信仰的影响有多大。
