The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 大小威父亲的真实事迹改编，她们成功背后是一个好爸爸更有一个默默支持的好妈妈。实在搞不懂那些说偏执控制欲强的人是怎么想的？那可是90年代那可是黑人贫民社区走出来的见过生死的人~
难看，就结尾结得还行。博人传都比这燃！老奶奶刷牙都比这燃！第一次看到能把体育传记片拍得也如此寡淡无趣的。俩女儿一上来就是天才配置，甚至看不到有任何挫折，到结尾了才勉强有场成长戏。也不明白为何理查德如此坚信女儿能成功，比最初级的励志片完成度还低。理查德这个人物很单薄，形象也很模糊，这人物完全没有内心戏。

6/10。乍一看没什么大问题，制作水平也在线，但把一部体育、传记片拍得这么无趣也是没谁了，蕴含的黑人、女性议题更是有些肤浅。
光是见识这样的爹就吓得双脚打颤了……幸运的是女儿们确实有“你就是第一名”的天资，想想还有多少鸡娃不成的父母？自以为是急功近利，控制孩子的一生。跟看《摔跤吧爸爸》一样不适。
剧本是奔着正能量励志去的，而且只拍到大姐出道。不过老爹的一些个性已经展露无遗。只能说现实世界一定更精彩。

interesting angle..but sports are all about the winning spirit, passion, obsession..just not feeling the excitement..the father/coach figure, if only it did a decent job as Dangal. such an inspiring journey, this movie seems barely do justice to their stories. the Williams sister endorsed it so maybe it's a love letter to their parents not for fans
